UJIMA Business Organization & Consulting, LLC is a young and innovative company that was established to directly support the growing and scaling needs of business owners who have a plan for growth, but lack the resources and knowledge to do so quickly and efficiently. UBOC recognizes the need for community involvement and engagement amongst minority business owners. What you don’t know as an owner can hurt you, so UBOC’s goal is to be that resource for any growing business by understanding their struggles, their environment and a lot of the other factors that work against a new minority business owner, such as finding your target audience and upselling. UJIMA has been a dream in progress of owner Shawny Jones-Henderson since 2012. Graduating from Cardinal Stritch with a Masters of Science in Business, Shawny understands the importance of operating a business at high efficiency and scaling at a good pace.  It was at this time that managing people, processes and systems, became a passion of hers. Shawny has been in a position of leadership and management since 2010, scaling up for small businesses, and large Fortune 500 companies in sectors of banking, healthcare, logistics and insurance. The one common denominator amongst them all is that creating efficiency in people, processes and systems is important to the growth and longevity of any thriving company. She has a fun and energetic management style that is sure to boost team morale and engage the team with the company's growth goals and future aspirations. Her leadership style is like no other, leading with empathy, compassion, understanding and a stern position that you as a person, or your business, will only grow with consistency and effort.
